I knew I wanted a big ballgown dress and loved the off the shoulder sleeves. What made me fall in love with my dress was that it felt like a really modern twist on a classic gown. I loved the keyhole and the deep V back. They felt like real points of difference. Another big factor was that it was comfortable to wear. It was a lot of dress, which comes with a lot of weight, but I wore it until 1am without being uncomfortable.<br></p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Tell us about your search for the dress and the experience at Astra Bridal.</strong></p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">Being Australian, half of my bridal party was from Australia, and when they expressed that they would not want to miss the dress shopping and were willing to fly over, I decided Wellington was the best fit so they could just fly in for the weekend, as we don’t live near an international airport. I made a weekend of it and booked an Airbnb, with everyone arriving on Friday night.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">Seeing as everyone had made a huge effort to come, I was not wasting a second. I had booked to go to four shops in one day, starting at 9am and finishing at 5pm (I do not recommend this, we were all dead by the end). Store number two, I tried on a dress that really got that magical reaction from everyone and even made my one bridesmaid who never cries cry.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">After a lunch break, we were onto <a href=\"https://www.astrabridal.co.nz/wellington.html\" target=\"_blank\">Astra</a>, store number three. We got a rack full of dresses and got to trying. By this point, I knew what I liked, so we were able to get through the pile pretty quickly. There was one absolute showstopper at the time, and I truly thought I had found the perfect dress.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">Fast forward one more store and a nap, and I am going through the photos of the day (I cannot stress how important it is to take photos). I’m looking at what I thought was the one, and I think, I do not like that dress one bit. While looking through the photos, I’m looking at the dress I ended up choosing and thinking, how did I just skip past this? It’s stunning. By this point, you can imagine I’m feeling very confused.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">I sit on it for a couple of weeks and decide to make the trip back down to Wellington to try two dresses, the dress that made everyone cry and my dress. I went to <a href=\"https://www.astrabridal.co.nz/wellington.html\" target=\"_blank\">Astra</a> first and put my dress on and was in love, but still in the back of my head I was thinking of dress number two that was still yet to try on again. I try dress number two on and immediately know that I have to have the other dress, my dress.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https://www.astrabridal.co.nz/lisa-durr.html\" target=\"_blank\">Lisa</a> and the team at <a href=\"https://www.astrabridal.co.nz/wellington.html\" target=\"_blank\">Astra</a> were phenomenal. Everyone was so welcoming and it felt really comfortable. <a href=\"https://www.astrabridal.co.nz/lisa-durr.html\" target=\"_blank\">Lisa</a> really knew what she was talking about and was very helpful in suggesting dresses, alterations, and accessories without being too pushy. The store in Wellington is huge, and compared to other stores we went to, it was really nice to have the room to walk around and get a feel for the dresses. The connection was instant, but we were mindful that it might never work as I was from Australia and he was from New Zealand. We parted ways after the Contiki but never stopped talking. At the beginning of 2018, I decided to come to New Zealand for a holiday and never left.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">We intertwined our lives effortlessly, and five years later we returned to Europe, with Jordan carrying a ring in his pocket. After both my hair and makeup trials, I wasn’t totally in love (this is why trials are so important), but both of the girls listened, understood, and were able to make changes on the day. It was perfect. I truly felt like a princess, and apart from the ballgown dress, I definitely have Natasha and Charlotte to thank for that.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">The florals were even better than the inspo pics I sent and absolutely stunning. Everything on the day ran smoothly (shout out to Paula and the Rose & Smith team). The food was incredible, and our guests could not stop raving about it. I almost had our ceremony in a different area as the place that I loved meant our guests would be sitting in the sun on a hot February day. I am so thankful someone talked some sense into me and I decided on the spot I really loved it, and as it turned out, the majority of the area was in the shade by that time of day.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">Lastly, I could not recommend any of our vendors more. [value] => <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>What was it that made this particular wedding dress catch your eye and fall in love?</strong></p><p style="text-align: center;">I know everyone always says they end up choosing something completely different from what they thought they would like, but not me. I knew I wanted a big ballgown dress and loved the off the shoulder sleeves. What made me fall in love with my dress was that it felt like a really modern twist on a classic gown. I loved the keyhole and the deep V back. They felt like real points of difference. Another big factor was that it was comfortable to wear. It was a lot of dress, which comes with a lot of weight, but I wore it until 1am without being uncomfortable.<br></p><p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Tell us about your search for the dress and the experience at Astra Bridal.</strong></p><p style="text-align: center;">Being Australian, half of my bridal party was from Australia, and when they expressed that they would not want to miss the dress shopping and were willing to fly over, I decided Wellington was the best fit so they could just fly in for the weekend, as we don’t live near an international airport. I made a weekend of it and booked an Airbnb, with everyone arriving on Friday night.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Seeing as everyone had made a huge effort to come, I was not wasting a second. I had booked to go to four shops in one day, starting at 9am and finishing at 5pm (I do not recommend this, we were all dead by the end). Store number two, I tried on a dress that really got that magical reaction from everyone and even made my one bridesmaid who never cries cry.</p><p style="text-align: center;">After a lunch break, we were onto <a href="https://www.astrabridal.co.nz/wellington.html" target="_blank">Astra</a>, store number three. We got a rack full of dresses and got to trying. By this point, I knew what I liked, so we were able to get through the pile pretty quickly. There was one absolute showstopper at the time, and I truly thought I had found the perfect dress.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Fast forward one more store and a nap, and I am going through the photos of the day (I cannot stress how important it is to take photos). I’m looking at what I thought was the one, and I think, I do not like that dress one bit. While looking through the photos, I’m looking at the dress I ended up choosing and thinking, how did I just skip past this? It’s stunning. By this point, you can imagine I’m feeling very confused.</p><p style="text-align: center;">I sit on it for a couple of weeks and decide to make the trip back down to Wellington to try two dresses, the dress that made everyone cry and my dress. I went to <a href="https://www.astrabridal.co.nz/wellington.html" target="_blank">Astra</a> first and put my dress on and was in love, but still in the back of my head I was thinking of dress number two that was still yet to try on again. I try dress number two on and immediately know that I have to have the other dress, my dress.</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.astrabridal.co.nz/lisa-durr.html" target="_blank">Lisa</a> and the team at <a href="https://www.astrabridal.co.nz/wellington.html" target="_blank">Astra</a> were phenomenal. The store in Wellington is huge, and compared to other stores we went to, it was really nice to have the room to walk around and get a feel for the dresses. The huge mirror also helps.</p>

What was it that made this particular wedding dress catch your eye and fall in love?I know everyone always says they end up choosing something completely different from what they thought they would like, but not me. I knew I wanted a big ballgown dress and loved the off the shoulder sleeves. What made me fall in love with my dress was that it felt like a really modern twist on a classic gown. I loved the keyhole and the deep V back. They felt like real points of difference. Another big factor was that it was comfortable to wear. It was a lot of dress, which comes with a lot of weight, but I wore it until 1am without being uncomfortable.Tell us about your search for the dress and the experience at Astra Bridal.Being Australian, half of my bridal party was from Australia, and when they expressed that they would not want to miss the dress shopping and were willing to fly over, I decided Wellington was the best fit so they could just fly in for the weekend, as we don’t live near an international airport. I made a weekend of it and booked an Airbnb, with everyone arriving on Friday night.Seeing as everyone had made a huge effort to come, I was not wasting a second. I had booked to go to four shops in one day, starting at 9am and finishing at 5pm (I do not recommend this, we were all dead by the end). Store number two, I tried on a dress that really got that magical reaction from everyone and even made my one bridesmaid who never cries cry.After a lunch break, we were onto Astra, store number three. We got a rack full of dresses and got to trying. By this point, I knew what I liked, so we were able to get through the pile pretty quickly. There was one absolute showstopper at the time, and I truly thought I had found the perfect dress.Fast forward one more store and a nap, and I am going through the photos of the day (I cannot stress how important it is to take photos). I’m looking at what I thought was the one, and I think, I do not like that dress one bit. While looking through the photos, I’m looking at the dress I ended up choosing and thinking, how did I just skip past this? It’s stunning. By this point, you can imagine I’m feeling very confused.I sit on it for a couple of weeks and decide to make the trip back down to Wellington to try two dresses, the dress that made everyone cry and my dress. I went to Astra first and put my dress on and was in love, but still in the back of my head I was thinking of dress number two that was still yet to try on again. I try dress number two on and immediately know that I have to have the other dress, my dress.Lisa and the team at Astra were phenomenal. Everyone was so welcoming and it felt really comfortable. Lisa really knew what she was talking about and was very helpful in suggesting dresses, alterations, and accessories without being too pushy. The store in Wellington is huge, and compared to other stores we went to, it was really nice to have the room to walk around and get a feel for the dresses. The huge mirror also helps. Tell us your story, how you both met, and the proposal.Jordan and I met on a Contiki through Europe in 2017. The connection was instant, but we were mindful that it might never work as I was from Australia and he was from New Zealand. We parted ways after the Contiki but never stopped talking. At the beginning of 2018, I decided to come to New Zealand for a holiday and never left.We intertwined our lives effortlessly, and five years later we returned to Europe, with Jordan carrying a ring in his pocket. Jordan proposed at sunset in Santorini, and we were able to spend the next three weeks travelling Europe in our freshly engaged bubble. What was your favourite part of the day?Impossible to pick! It was honestly totally incredible, but if I had to choose, it would be watching our friends and family from all over the world merge together like they had always known each other. It was so cool to watch someone drag a person they had just met onto the dancefloor. Tell us about your wedding day as a whole.So perfect, I couldn’t have asked for more. The weather on the day was sunny, with just a few clouds and about 23 degrees (which was amazing, considering the day before and after was 28/29). Our mornings were both relaxed and cruisey, no stressing or rushing. After both my hair and makeup trials, I wasn’t totally in love (this is why trials are so important), but both of the girls listened, understood, and were able to make changes on the day. It was perfect. I truly felt like a princess, and apart from the ballgown dress, I definitely have Natasha and Charlotte to thank for that.The florals were even better than the inspo pics I sent and absolutely stunning. Everything on the day ran smoothly (shout out to Paula and the Rose & Smith team). The food was incredible, and our guests could not stop raving about it. Our DJ absolutely blew it out of the park and had everyone on the dancefloor until the very last second. Finally, what is your biggest piece of advice for brides to be?Apart from the already mentioned above, take photos while dress shopping and get a hair and makeup trial!I think I would have to say, dont sweat the small stuff. I lost sleep over fonts and ribbon styles, and as much as back then I didnt want to believe it, people dont notice that kind of stuff. Also, make the decisions for you, what makes you happy and what you want. I almost had our ceremony in a different area as the place that I loved meant our guests would be sitting in the sun on a hot February day. I am so thankful someone talked some sense into me and I decided on the spot I really loved it, and as it turned out, the majority of the area was in the shade by that time of day.Lastly, I could not recommend any of our vendors more. You will not regret choosing any (or all) of these guys, they all played a huge factor in making our day perfect. I truly felt beautiful, and I don’t think people would have expected me to choose a wedding dress like that. It was different, but in the best way. What really won me over was the lace detail. Every pattern was carefully and beautifully crafted, making the dress all the more captivating to look at.<span class=\"redactor-invisible-space\"></span><br></p><p style=\"text-align: center;\" rel=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Tell us about your search for the dress and the experience at Astra Bridal.</strong> </p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">I first came across <a href=\"https://www.astrabridal.co.nz/auckland.html\" target=\"_blank\">Astra Bridal</a> last year when I was helping my older sister, Evanalia, find her wedding dress. She had such an amazing experience there, and all the dresses were so beautiful that I knew I wanted to come back when it was my turn.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">To be honest, I really wanted a dress made with the same Mikado fabric as my sister’s, but I also knew Mikado and the heat in Samoa would not be a good mix, haha. When it came time to choose, I found myself stuck between two dresses: <a href=\"https://www.astrabridal.co.nz/rebecca-ingram-marsha.html\" target=\"_blank\">Marsha</a>, which was strapless and a stunning pearly white, and <a href=\"https://www.astrabridal.co.nz/maggie-sottero-fiona.html\" target=\"_blank\">Fiona</a>, which was also strapless and beautifully detailed with lace.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https://www.astrabridal.co.nz/maggie-sottero-fiona.html\" target=\"_blank\">Fiona</a> was completely out of my comfort zone. I didn’t even want to try it on at first, but my wonderful consultant, Courtney, encouraged me to give it a chance. The more I looked at myself in the mirror, the more I fell in love with it. I was 17 and on FaceTime with my cousin. She and I had just said a prayer, and I kid you not, part of my prayer was, “Dear Lord, I pray for a boy who is a Christian, plays rugby, loves his family, is Samoan, and preferably from St Peters.” Don’t ask me why I said preferably from St Peters, haha.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">A few months went by, and then Niko requested to follow me on Instagram. Although I had no idea who Niko was, I accepted his request. He uploaded a video to his story, so I replied to it because I thought it was funny. Little did I know he would reply back to my message, confessing his feelings for me, haha.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">He said to me, “I think I have a crush on you, but I’m just saying how I feel. You don’t have to look into it heaps.” He was a very straightforward 17 year old, lol.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">We started talking, and then on 11 January 2018, he asked me to be his girlfriend. The rest is history, and he is exactly the man I prayed for and more. We had been dating for six years when Niko proposed.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">We went up to Coopers Beach with his family after Christmas, and on 30 December 2023, he took me up to the Par, which is a beautiful lookout in Coopers. Parts of the town were underwater, power was out in many places, and cars couldn’t even get through the streets. But the day we landed, the skies were clear and blue, and the scenery was so beautiful you would never have guessed that Apia had just been through flooding.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">The day before the wedding, it rained on and off, pouring down one moment and clearing the next. Still, I had no fear. I knew the Lord would provide, as He always does. And sure enough, the morning of our wedding, we woke to perfect sunshine. It was very hot, but it was the kind of weather you pray for on a day like that.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">Getting ready was a little stressful. Even though our ceremony wasn’t until 3 pm, the girls had to start hair and makeup at 7 am. By late morning, we were all starving and a little hangry, so we were very thankful when the groomsmen showed up with food. In the end, everything came together, and we only arrived about 15 minutes late, which isn’t too bad for a Samoan wedding, haha.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">The ceremony itself flew by. One moment I was walking down the aisle with my parents, and the next I was walking back out with my husband by my side. Afterwards, we took family photos at Peace Chapel before heading to Taumeasina Island Resort beach for our bridal party photos. Thankfully, the tide was low that day, unlike the day before when the beach was almost swallowed by the water. We were able to take some beautiful photos on the sand before Niko and I had our portraits taken, and then made our way to the reception.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">Everything about the reception was perfect, from the bridal party entrances to the food, the speeches, the performances, and of course, a touch of fa’asamoa. It was truly the best night of our lives, being surrounded by so many of our friends and family who love us. Let your bridesmaids and groomsmen handle the running around if anything comes up. Be present, put your feet up, and relax before the ceremony.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">I made the mistake of trying to do too much that morning and even forgot to eat breakfast, haha. However, I honestly still had the best morning of my wedding with my girls. I truly felt beautiful, and I don’t think people would have expected me to choose a wedding dress like that. It was different, but in the best way. What really won me over was the lace detail. Every pattern was carefully and beautifully crafted, making the dress all the more captivating to look at.<span class="redactor-invisible-space"></span><br></p><p style="text-align: center;" rel="text-align: center;"><strong>Tell us about your search for the dress and the experience at Astra Bridal.</strong> </p><p style="text-align: center;">I first came across <a href="https://www.astrabridal.co.nz/auckland.html" target="_blank">Astra Bridal</a> last year when I was helping my older sister, Evanalia, find her wedding dress. She had such an amazing experience there, and all the dresses were so beautiful that I knew I wanted to come back when it was my turn.</p><p style="text-align: center;">To be honest, I really wanted a dress made with the same Mikado fabric as my sister’s, but I also knew Mikado and the heat in Samoa would not be a good mix, haha. When it came time to choose, I found myself stuck between two dresses: <a href="https://www.astrabridal.co.nz/rebecca-ingram-marsha.html" target="_blank">Marsha</a>, which was strapless and a stunning pearly white, and <a href="https://www.astrabridal.co.nz/maggie-sottero-fiona.html" target="_blank">Fiona</a>, which was also strapless and beautifully detailed with lace.</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.astrabridal.co.nz/maggie-sottero-fiona.html" target="_blank">Fiona</a> was completely out of my comfort zone. I didn’t even want to try it on at first, but my wonderful consultant, Courtney, encouraged me to give it a chance. The more I looked at myself in the mirror, the more I fell in love with it. I was 17 and on FaceTime with my cousin. She and I had just said a prayer, and I kid you not, part of my prayer was, “Dear Lord, I pray for a boy who is a Christian, plays rugby, loves his family, is Samoan, and preferably from St Peters.” Don’t ask me why I said preferably from St Peters, haha.</p><p style="text-align: center;">A few months went by, and then Niko requested to follow me on Instagram. Although I had no idea who Niko was, I accepted his request. He uploaded a video to his story, so I replied to it because I thought it was funny. Little did I know he would reply back to my message, confessing his feelings for me, haha.</p><p style="text-align: center;">He said to me, “I think I have a crush on you, but I’m just saying how I feel. You don’t have to look into it heaps.” He was a very straightforward 17 year old, lol.</p><p style="text-align: center;">We started talking, and then on 11 January 2018, he asked me to be his girlfriend. The rest is history, and he is exactly the man I prayed for and more. We had been dating for six years when Niko proposed.</p><p style="text-align: center;">We went up to Coopers Beach with his family after Christmas, and on 30 December 2023, he took me up to the Par, which is a beautiful lookout in Coopers. With both our families surrounding us, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.<br><strong></strong></p><p style="text-align: center;"><strong></strong></p>

[value] => <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Tell us about your wedding </strong><strong>day as a whole.</strong></p><p style="text-align: center;">In December and into early January, Samoa was hit with heavy floods. Parts of the town were underwater, power was out in many places, and cars couldn’t even get through the streets. But the day we landed, the skies were clear and blue, and the scenery was so beautiful you would never have guessed that Apia had just been through flooding.</p><p style="text-align: center;">The day before the wedding, it rained on and off, pouring down one moment and clearing the next. Still, I had no fear. I knew the Lord would provide, as He always does. And sure enough, the morning of our wedding, we woke to perfect sunshine. It was very hot, but it was the kind of weather you pray for on a day like that.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Getting ready was a little stressful. Even though our ceremony wasn’t until 3 pm, the girls had to start hair and makeup at 7 am. By late morning, we were all starving and a little hangry, so we were very thankful when the groomsmen showed up with food. In the end, everything came together, and we only arrived about 15 minutes late, which isn’t too bad for a Samoan wedding, haha.</p><p style="text-align: center;">The ceremony itself flew by. One moment I was walking down the aisle with my parents, and the next I was walking back out with my husband by my side. Afterwards, we took family photos at Peace Chapel before heading to Taumeasina Island Resort beach for our bridal party photos. Thankfully, the tide was low that day, unlike the day before when the beach was almost swallowed by the water. We were able to take some beautiful photos on the sand before Niko and I had our portraits taken, and then made our way to the reception.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Everything about the reception was perfect, from the bridal party entrances to the food, the speeches, the performances, and of course, a touch of fa’asamoa. It was truly the best night of our lives, being surrounded by so many of our friends and family who love us. Enjoy! What was it that made this particular wedding dress catch your eye and fall in love?I absolutely loved the way I felt in the dress. I truly felt beautiful, and I don’t think people would have expected me to choose a wedding dress like that. It was different, but in the best way. What really won me over was the lace detail. Every pattern was carefully and beautifully crafted, making the dress all the more captivating to look at.Tell us about your search for the dress and the experience at Astra Bridal. I first came across Astra Bridal last year when I was helping my older sister, Evanalia, find her wedding dress. She had such an amazing experience there, and all the dresses were so beautiful that I knew I wanted to come back when it was my turn.To be honest, I really wanted a dress made with the same Mikado fabric as my sister’s, but I also knew Mikado and the heat in Samoa would not be a good mix, haha. When it came time to choose, I found myself stuck between two dresses: Marsha, which was strapless and a stunning pearly white, and Fiona, which was also strapless and beautifully detailed with lace.Fiona was completely out of my comfort zone. I didn’t even want to try it on at first, but my wonderful consultant, Courtney, encouraged me to give it a chance. The more I looked at myself in the mirror, the more I fell in love with it. Even though it took me a while to finally choose Fiona, deep down I think I always knew she was the one; I just needed a bit of encouragement.I’m so thankful to Courtney for making the whole experience so special, and of course to my favourite and harshest critics, my mum, sister, and aunties, lol. Tell us your story, how you both met, and the proposal.I like to say Niko was sent to me from God. I was 17 and on FaceTime with my cousin. She and I had just said a prayer, and I kid you not, part of my prayer was, “Dear Lord, I pray for a boy who is a Christian, plays rugby, loves his family, is Samoan, and preferably from St Peters.” Don’t ask me why I said preferably from St Peters, haha.A few months went by, and then Niko requested to follow me on Instagram. Although I had no idea who Niko was, I accepted his request. He uploaded a video to his story, so I replied to it because I thought it was funny. Little did I know he would reply back to my message, confessing his feelings for me, haha.He said to me, “I think I have a crush on you, but I’m just saying how I feel. You don’t have to look into it heaps.” He was a very straightforward 17 year old, lol.We started talking, and then on 11 January 2018, he asked me to be his girlfriend. The rest is history, and he is exactly the man I prayed for and more. We had been dating for six years when Niko proposed.We went up to Coopers Beach with his family after Christmas, and on 30 December 2023, he took me up to the Par, which is a beautiful lookout in Coopers. With both our families surrounding us, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. What was your favourite part of the day?My favourite part of the day was walking down the aisle with my parents. I am the youngest of my siblings and the last grandchild to carry the Pa’ū last name. It was a bittersweet moment because I knew I was leaving the covering of my parents and stepping into a new season, one where I would now come under the covering God has placed over my marriage. In that walk, I felt so much gratitude to the Lord for the gift of my family, and peace in knowing He is faithful to guide me into this next chapter. Tell us about your wedding day as a whole.In December and into early January, Samoa was hit with heavy floods. Parts of the town were underwater, power was out in many places, and cars couldn’t even get through the streets. But the day we landed, the skies were clear and blue, and the scenery was so beautiful you would never have guessed that Apia had just been through flooding.The day before the wedding, it rained on and off, pouring down one moment and clearing the next. Still, I had no fear. I knew the Lord would provide, as He always does. And sure enough, the morning of our wedding, we woke to perfect sunshine. It was very hot, but it was the kind of weather you pray for on a day like that.Getting ready was a little stressful. Even though our ceremony wasn’t until 3 pm, the girls had to start hair and makeup at 7 am. By late morning, we were all starving and a little hangry, so we were very thankful when the groomsmen showed up with food. In the end, everything came together, and we only arrived about 15 minutes late, which isn’t too bad for a Samoan wedding, haha.The ceremony itself flew by. One moment I was walking down the aisle with my parents, and the next I was walking back out with my husband by my side. Afterwards, we took family photos at Peace Chapel before heading to Taumeasina Island Resort beach for our bridal party photos. Thankfully, the tide was low that day, unlike the day before when the beach was almost swallowed by the water. We were able to take some beautiful photos on the sand before Niko and I had our portraits taken, and then made our way to the reception.Everything about the reception was perfect, from the bridal party entrances to the food, the speeches, the performances, and of course, a touch of fa’asamoa. It was truly the best night of our lives, being surrounded by so many of our friends and family who love us. All glory to God. Finally, what is your biggest piece of advice for brides to be?My advice for brides-to-be is this: when you wake up on the morning of your wedding, don’t worry about a thing. Let go of yesterday’s problems and don’t stress over the little details. From the moment you wake up, enjoy the day; it really is all about you (and the groom, lol). Let your bridesmaids and groomsmen handle the running around if anything comes up. Be present, put your feet up, and relax before the ceremony.I made the mistake of trying to do too much that morning and even forgot to eat breakfast, haha. However, I honestly still had the best morning of my wedding with my girls. So don’t stress, just soak in every moment of your beautiful day.And one more tip: make sure you both eat at the reception. Niko and I didn’t, and we were starving by the end of the night. Still, we wouldn’t change a thing. Our day couldn’t have been more perfect without the prayers of both our families. We are so blessed to have an amazing village who support us in all that we do. Thank you, Lord, for the most perfect day. I love you, Niko Jones, hehe. We matched in the first week and started texting, and soon we moved our online dates over to Discord to watch anime and movies together during quarantine.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">As soon as we got the go ahead for outside picnics, we made a date for the very next day. Our first date was a picnic at Mt Wellington and lasted over six hours, as we wanted to get to know each other better in person. It was definitely love at first sight.</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">We moved in together within three months and fell deeper and deeper in love with every passing day. Bas proposed to me on our two year anniversary at my favourite beach during sunset. Side note: my family plays a game where, whenever we see a ship, we have to say, “S for surprise, a very special surprise, when can I have it?” Whoever says this first receives a surprise. We matched in the first week and started texting, and soon we moved our online dates over to Discord to watch anime and movies together during quarantine.</p><p style="text-align: center;">As soon as we got the go ahead for outside picnics, we made a date for the very next day. Our first date was a picnic at Mt Wellington and lasted over six hours, as we wanted to get to know each other better in person. It was definitely love at first sight.</p><p style="text-align: center;">We moved in together within three months and fell deeper and deeper in love with every passing day. Bas proposed to me on our two year anniversary at my favourite beach during sunset. Side note: my family plays a game where, whenever we see a ship, we have to say, “S for surprise, a very special surprise, when can I have it?” Whoever says this first receives a surprise. So Bas saw a ship and said, “Surprise, surprise.” I turned around to say the whole phrase and then turned back to see him on one knee.</p><p style="text-align: center;"><strong></strong></p>
